LEGAL AND COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT POLICY AND NOTICE
In addition to the rules and regulations of the Electric Plant Board of the City of Franklin, and the specific terms of each of its business and residential internet based service agreements, every EPB Fiber customer is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding each Customer’s use of the EPB Fiber internet network and facilities. EPB Fiber intends to cooperate with all federal, state, and local law enforcement investigations regarding any Customer’s illegal and / or criminal activities committed by or through such Customer’s use of the EPB Fiber network or facilities. Specifically, EPB Fiber will comply with the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act regarding such law enforcement investigations and support.
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, all EPB Fiber Customers must not use, upload, store, download, or otherwise disseminate copyright protected content or material in any manner that infringes upon its copyright. EPB Fiber will comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, and will, expeditiously upon its receipt, forward, “take down,” notices to any EPB Fiber Customer against whom copyright infringements have been alleged. In such event, EPB Fiber will otherwise comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act possibly resulting in disabling access to, or removal of, the implicated content or material, as well as possible suspension of, or potential termination of, fiber based services.
